You Are So Beautiful
The secret of true natural beauty
Is more than being born a cutie.
The joy that rises from within
Imparts a wondrous glow to skin.
That smile that wrinkles up your eyes
Leaves signs of joy I’d not revise.
No makeup serves to hide the truth
That you no longer are a youth,
But loving knows to kindly see
The fullness of all you can be —
The quiet goodness of your heart —
The beauty that will not depart.
